Guru Meditation is proud to announce the immediate availability of AmiFTP, an AmigaOS 4 native FTP client. The sources has been under our control for some time now and now it is ready for public use.

Andreas Loong of Guru Meditation said, "This is a very capable FTP client and it will continue to be freeware and should appear on download sites such as www.aminet.net and www.os4depot.net shortly. The program has been ported to native OS4 code and enhanced to make use of the AISS system. It is also AmiUpdate compatible from the start which should make things nice and easy for the user. Furthermore the speedbar has been fixed, it is now Docky compatible and the reqtools requirement has been eliminated and much more."

Guru Meditation was formed late 2003 and started off very modestly as a reseller of Amiga equipment and AmigaOne hardware. In mid 2004 the decision was made to acquire the rights for Directory Opus to bring it back to the Amiga platform as the start of a new program of expansion to help kickstart the Amiga market back into life. In 2006 the sources for AmiFTP was acquired.
